Most pieces start with a sketch. My inspiration comes from my world travels, love of the arts, and the wide diversity of colors, shapes and textures available in precious metals and gemstone beads.
As in almost any creative process I need a palette, which is provided here by mother nature. Our materials are of the finest quality and come from all over the world. I've found Thailand to be an excellent source of quality gemstone and .999% silver beads and findings. The gentle nature of the Thai people and the beauty of their country come as an added bonus. If you ever have the chance to travel to Southeast Asia, we highly recommend Thailand. I also often use the finely crafted silver beads of Indonesia. Balinese silversmiths are world renowned for their extraordinary work.
Once I have a general idea of the look I desire in a piece, the painstaking assembly process begins. If I don't feel satisfied with the aesthetics when I'm done, it's back to the drawing board, and I start again, making any adjustments I feel are necessary to give the jewelry an appealing design.
